Weasels Ripped My Flesh gathers live and studio recordings The Mothers of Invention made between 1967 and 1969, assembled by Frank Zappa after he had disbanded the original line-up. The album jumps from free improvisation on 'The Eric Dolphy Memorial Barbecue' to straight-ahead rock on 'My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama', takes in a Little Richard blues cover with Don 'Sugar Cane' Harris on electric violin, and closes with two minutes of feedback carrying the title. The sleeve, showing a man shaving his face open with a weasel, was drawn by Neon Park. The album originally appeared in 1970 on Bizarre and Reprise Records. This edition is an LP.
