Louder Than Bombs originally appeared in 1987, bringing together twenty-four singles, B-sides and session recordings for the American market, where much of that material had never been issued separately. Alongside Hand in Glove, Panic, Ask and Sheila Take a Bow it carries less familiar tracks such as Sweet and Tender Hooligan, Stretch Out and Wait and Golden Lights. The selection overlaps heavily with The World Won't Listen, which had come out in Europe shortly before. The sleeve shows the writer Shelagh Delaney, from whose work Morrissey regularly borrowed lines for his lyrics. This edition is a 2-LP.
