Reality Awaits is the seventh studio album by The Strokes, released on 26 June 2026 via RCA, six years after The New Abnormal. Rick Rubin produced again, this time with recording sessions on a mountaintop in Costa Rica. The nine tracks, just over forty minutes in total, seek out the band's wilful, less predictable side, giving Julian Casablancas room for his impulses. Going Shopping went ahead as the first single, with a markedly playful video. This edition is an LP on gold vinyl.
