Boys for Pele was Tori Amos' third solo album, originally released in January 1996. It was the first album she produced entirely on her own, taped in a church in Delgany and in a Georgian house in County Cork, both in Ireland. Alongside the piano she played harpsichord on a good part of the songs, giving the album a drier and sharper sound than her first two albums. "Caught a Lite Sneeze" was the opening single; "Hey Jupiter" and "Professional Widow" also came from this album.
