Met de release van Tapestry in 1971 raakte Carole King een snaar bij luisteraars over de hele wereld en verdiende ze vier Grammy Awards en drie Top 20-hits met haar onvergetelijke album. Op 3 juli 2016 trad Carole King op het British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park. Dit concert was de eerste keer dat haar album Tapestry van begin tot eind live werd uitgevoerd. Op het podium werd ze begeleid door een volledige band en gastartiesten, waaronder haar dochter Louise Goffin en de met een Laurence Olivier Award bekroonde West End-cast van Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
