Peaky Blinders is een Britse tv-serie over misdaad in Birmingham, Engeland in de nasleep van de 1e Wereldoorlog. Cillian Murphy speelt de hoofdrol als Tommy Shelby als bendeleider van de Shelby-misdaadclan. De tv-serie staat bekend om zijn donkere en dramatische soundtrack. De muziek speelt als het ware een eigen rol in de serie als een soort venster in de geest van Tommy Shelby. Hij lijdt aan een Post Traumatisch Stress Syndroom (PTSS) na gevechten in de loopgraven, mede als gevolg van diverse martelingen. De 3LP en 2CD bevat muziek en dialogen uit de serie. Serie 5 is zojuist uit en te bekijken via Netflix. De soundtrack bevat o.a. Red Right Hand – het openingsnummer van de serie van Nick Cave en een cover van ditzelfde nummer, dat exclusief voor de serie is opgenomen door P.J. Harvey. Verder muziek van The White Stripes, Laura Marling, Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood, Radiohead, The Last Shadow Puppets, Queens of the Stone Age, David Bowie, Foals, Black Sabbath, Idles, Joy Division and Ricard Hawley, die Bob Dylan’s Ballad Of A Thin Man heeft gecovered.
