Harvest, oorspronkelijk uitgebracht in 1972, werd Neil Youngs bekendste en best verkochte album. De plaat bracht 'Heart of Gold' voort, zijn enige nummer 1-hit in de Verenigde Staten, en bevat daarnaast 'Old Man' en het ingetogen 'The Needle and the Damage Done'. Young combineerde akoestische folk en country met orkestrale arrangementen, deels opgenomen met The Stray Gators en de London Symphony Orchestra. Het album staat in Rolling Stone's lijst van de 500 beste albums aller tijden. Deze jubileumeditie voegt studio-outtakes, een BBC-solo-optreden uit 1971 en dvd-materiaal toe. Deze uitgave is een lp-boxset op zwart vinyl (50e-verjaardagseditie).
