The Collection is a compilation album by the Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, originally released in 2005. The album looks back on the first decade of her international career, which exploded in 1995 with Jagged Little Pill, one of the best-selling albums of all time. The collection contains hits such as 'You Oughta Know', 'Ironic', 'Hand In My Pocket', 'Thank U' and 'Uninvited', which she wrote for the film City Of Angels. It also features less obvious recordings, such as a cover of Seal's 'Crazy' and 'Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love)' from the film De-Lovely. Morissette's work combines alternative rock with candid, confessional lyrics.
