For Rise of the Tyrant, Arch Enemy went back to Studio Fredman and to producer Fredrik Nordström, who had also recorded the band's early albums. Christopher Amott had rejoined his brother Michael by then. The seventh studio album originally appeared in 2007, opens with "Blood on Your Hands" and yielded "Revolution Begins", a single that also came out as a separate EP. The instrumental "Intermezzo Liberté" gives the album some air halfway through.
