These Days was Bon Jovi's sixth studio album and originally came out in 1995. It sounded darker and more serious than the band's previous work, with themes of disillusionment, loss and rootlessness. It was the band's first studio album after the departure of bassist Alec John Such. Singles including This Ain't a Love Song, Something for the Pain, Lie to Me, These Days and Hey God appeared on the album. These Days became a major success especially in Europe, topping the UK albums chart for several weeks.
