On Sucker, Charli XCX traded the dark synths of her debut for guitars, handclaps and sing-along punk choruses. She named The Hives, Weezer, the Ramones and 1960s French yé-yé as influences and was after a girl-gang feel in the vein of Bow Wow Wow. On this second studio album she worked with Patrik Berger, Rostam Batmanglij, Stargate, John Hill and Greg Kurstin, among others, and Weezer's Rivers Cuomo co-wrote Hanging Around. Boom Clap, first heard on the soundtrack to The Fault in Our Stars, reached number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100. Break the Rules and London Queen lean on punk with a bubblegum edge.

This edition is an LP on black vinyl.
