Images and Words Demos (1989-1991) documents the period in which Dream Theater worked toward Images and Words. The collection holds instrumental demos of 'Take the Time' and 'Learning to Live', early versions such as 'Oliver's Twist' — the seed of 'Pull Me Under' — and the audition recordings that led to James LaBrie being taken on as vocalist. The recordings were originally released in 2005 on Ytsejam Records and reached vinyl for the first time through the Lost Not Forgotten Archives.
