Hotel California was the fifth studio album by the American band Eagles and originally dates from 1976, released on Asylum Records. The album was produced by Bill Szymczyk and was the band's first album with guitarist Joe Walsh. The title track "Hotel California" was released as a single and won a Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1978. "New Kid in Town" and "Life in the Fast Lane" were also released as singles from the album. The album reached number one on the Billboard 200 and was certified multi-platinum in the United States. The lineup consisted of Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Don Felder and Randy Meisner.
