Crocodiles was the debut album by Echo & the Bunnymen from Liverpool, originally released in 1980. The album belonged to the early post-punk scene and featured dark, psychedelically tinged guitar rock. The band consisted of Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant, joined by Les Pattinson and drummer Pete de Freitas, who had earlier replaced a drum machine. The single Rescue represented the album, alongside tracks such as Going Up and Villiers Terrace. Crocodiles reached the top 20 of the UK albums chart.
