Skeletá came out on 25 April 2025 via Loma Vista and became Ghost's sixth studio album. Tobias Forge wrote and produced it under the alias Gene Walker, with Papa V Perpetua as the new frontman character. The lyrics turn inward, towards grief, doubt and self-image, while the music leans on melodic hard rock with guitar harmonies and keyboards that nod to the seventies. 'Satanized' and 'Lachryma' went out ahead of it as singles. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number one, the band's first time at the top, with 86,000 album units in its first week. Metal Hammer later named Skeletá its album of the year for 2025. This edition is an LP on Fun Dip Blend vinyl.
