The Mountain is the ninth studio album by Gorillaz, released on 27 February 2026 on the band's own label Kong. Almost every track is built around guests: Anoushka Shankar, Asha Bhosle, Sparks, IDLES, Johnny Marr, Black Thought, Yasiin Bey, Omar Souleyman, Trueno and Paul Simonon all appear in the credits, and Damon Albarn also worked archive recordings by late collaborators such as Tony Allen, Bobby Womack, Dave Jolicoeur, Mark E. Smith and Dennis Hopper into the songs. Across fifteen tracks the album moves from Indian string instruments and flute to dub, hip-hop and electronics, with titles such as 'Orange County', 'Damascus' and 'The Empty Dream Machine'. This edition is a 2-LP on yellow opaque vinyl.
