Hedwig's Theme, played on celesta, became the calling card of the entire Harry Potter series and turns up in all eight films, including the ones Williams did not score himself. For the first film he worked in London studios in the summer of 2001 with a session orchestra of more than a hundred players. Besides the main theme, the album carries Harry's Wondrous World, Diagon Alley, and Mr. Longbottom Flies. The score originally appeared in 2001 and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Score.
