Best Of 1969-1974 collects nineteen tracks from the years Fleetwood Mac spent on Reprise Records, from Peter Green's final months to just before Buckingham and Nicks arrived. The selection draws on seven studio albums: Then Play On, Kiln House, Future Games, Bare Trees, Penguin, Mystery To Me and Heroes Are Hard To Find. That brings in the contributions of Danny Kirwan, Bob Welch and Christine McVie, from 'Oh Well (Part 1)' and 'The Green Manalishi' to 'Hypnotized', 'Sentimental Lady' and 'Bare Trees'. The compilation appeared in 2024 on Rhino as a counterpart to the familiar Greatest Hits, which covers the years from 1975 onwards.
