Frank Zappa For President is a compilation album of archival material by the American composer and guitarist Frank Zappa, originally released in 2016. The title refers to Zappa's serious flirtation with a candidacy for the American presidency in the early 1990s. The album contains three previously unreleased compositions Zappa realised on the Synclavier, including the more than fifteen-minute 'Overture To "Uncle Sam"'. It also features a remix of 'Brown Shoes Don't Make It' from 1966, a vocal version of 'Amnerika' and live recordings from the 1988 tour, such as the politically charged 'When The Lie's So Big'. Political engagement and social criticism form the common thread; in 1985 Zappa also testified before the US Senate against music censorship.
