In October 1973 the Wailers were stranded in California after being dropped from the Sly & The Family Stone tour. Producer Denny Cordell brought the band to the Capitol Studios in Hollywood on 24 October, where they played twelve songs for a handful of guests, filmed and recorded. It is one of the last documents with Peter Tosh in the line-up, with Joe Higgs in the place of Bunny Wailer, and the repertoire comes from Catch a Fire and Burnin': Slave Driver, Stir It Up, Duppy Conqueror, Kinky Reggae, Get Up, Stand Up, and a Rastaman Chant on nyabinghi drums. Picture and sound sat on the shelf for almost half a century and came out on 3 September 2021 via Tuff Gong and Mercury Studios.
