Noise Floor gathers stray Bright Eyes recordings made between 1998 and 2005: singles, splits, compilation contributions, covers, and songs that fitted no album at the time. It moves from bedroom lo-fi to fully worked out studio versions, with tracks such as "Devil Town", "Drunk Kid Catholic" and "It's Cool, We Can Still Be Friends". The collection originally appeared in October 2006 on Saddle Creek, and the vinyl edition carries five songs more than the CD.
