On EV3 En Vogue worked with a wide circle of outside writers and producers for the first time: Babyface, Diane Warren, David Foster and Organized Noize joined regular collaborators Foster & McElroy. The third studio album was originally released in 1997 via EastWest Records and revolves around Don't Let Go (Love), which had appeared on the Set It Off soundtrack a year earlier, plus Whatever and Too Gone, Too Long. It became the last album to feature Dawn Robinson, who left during the recording sessions to pursue a solo career, forcing much of the material to be re-recorded. The four-part harmonies the group was known for shift here towards smooth contemporary R&B and ballads.
