Extra Texture (Read All About It) is George Harrison's sixth studio album and the last one issued on Apple Records. He recorded it in Los Angeles in early 1975, shortly after the rough reception of his tour and of Dark Horse, and chose a more soulful, keyboard-led sound instead of the Indian influences of his earlier work. "You" opened the album as a single, built on a backing track already recorded in 1971. "This Guitar (Can't Keep from Crying)" was written as a sequel to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", and "His Name Is Legs (Ladies & Gentlemen)" is a portrait of his friend Larry 'Legs' Smith of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. The album originally came out in September 1975.
