Give It Back is not a conventional studio album but a set of completely new recordings of older material. When Gavin Harrison worked his way through the catalogue in order to play the songs live, he rewrote the drum parts rather than copying them, following Robert Fripp's approach in King Crimson: treat every song as if it were new. Bruce Soord then rebuilt his own vocal and guitar parts, and extra verses and altered arrangements were added. The album came out in 2022 on Kscope, with reworked versions of 'Wretched Soul', 'Dead in the Water', and 'Little Man', among others, drawn from albums such as Little Man, All the Wars, and Tightly Unwound.
