The Pineapple Thief
The Pineapple Thief started in 1999 as a solo project by Bruce Soord in Yeovil, Somerset, and grew into a full band from there. The music sits between progressive rock and song-driven alternative rock: short, melodic tracks alongside long pieces built on space and slow build, with Soord's restrained vocals on top. The move from Cyclops to Kscope brought a tighter production, and the arrival of drummer Gavin Harrison (King Crimson, Porcupine Tree) in 2016 gave the rhythm section an entirely different character. Dissolution entered the UK album chart at number 36 in 2018, their highest placing there, and It Leads to This topped the UK Rock and Metal chart in 2024.
This collection brings together The Pineapple Thief on vinyl, LP and CD: studio albums from the early Cyclops years, later Kscope releases, reissues with new mixes, and live recordings.
