The Diary is the third studio album by American rapper Scarface, released on 18 October 1994 via Rap-A-Lot and Noo Trybe. The record represents the southern hip hop of Houston and deals with dark themes such as mortality, violence and street life. Lead single I Seen a Man Die became Scarface's first top 40 hit, and Hand of the Dead Body, featuring Ice Cube, is another well-known track from the album. It debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum.
