Diamond Eyes is the sixth studio album by Deftones from Sacramento, led by singer Chino Moreno, released in May 2010. The album came about after bassist Chi Cheng fell into a coma in late 2008; the nearly finished album Eros was set aside and the band wrote new material with Sergio Vega on bass. The album was produced by Nick Raskulinecz and includes the singles Rocket Skates and the title track. Musically the album combines heavy, downtuned riffs with dreamy melodies.
