For their third album Venom bet on something that on paper did not suit them at all: side A of At War with Satan is a single track of almost twenty minutes, telling of a war between heaven and hell that hell wins. Side B returns to short songs, with Rip Ride, Genocide, Stand Up (And Be Counted) and the chaotic Aaaaaaaarrghh. The album originally dates from 1984 and was recorded by the Cronos, Mantas and Abaddon line-up, shortly before the Seven Dates of Hell tour. This edition is a picture disc LP, pressed for Record Store Day in a run of 1,500 copies.
