Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson was already performing as a child with The Jackson 5 and went on to build a solo career that made him one of the best-selling artists in the world. On Off the Wall (1979) and Thriller (1982), both produced by Quincy Jones, he pulled disco, funk, pop and rock into a sound that connected everywhere. Thriller became the best-selling album of all time and won eight Grammy Awards. Bad followed, then the new jack swing of Dangerous and later HIStory. His videos and his dancing, with the moonwalk as a trademark, changed what pop music looked like. Jackson died on 25 June 2009 at the age of 50. Posthumous releases such as Xscape appeared in the years that followed.
This collection brings together Michael Jackson on vinyl, LP and CD: the classic studio albums, reissues and anniversary editions, picture discs and compilations.
