Weld captures Neil Young and Crazy Horse on the Ragged Glory tour, in the spring of 1991. It is a loud, unvarnished live album: "Love and Only Love", "Cortez the Killer" and "Like a Hurricane" all stretch well past ten minutes, with feedback hanging in the air between songs. The tour coincided with the Gulf War, which surfaces in a version of Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" framed by air-raid sirens and explosions. Also included are readings of "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)", "Powderfinger", "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Farmer John". The album was originally released in 1991 on Reprise Records. This edition is a 3-LP.
