Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Crazy Horse is the band Neil Young turns to for his loudest and least polished work. The partnership started in 1969 on Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, with Danny Whitten, Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina, and went on to produce albums such as Zuma, Rust Never Sleeps, Ragged Glory and the live album Weld. Their signature is the long, raw guitar workout of "Cortez the Killer" and "Like a Hurricane", played with deliberately loose timing and plenty of feedback. After Danny Whitten died in 1972, Frank "Poncho" Sampedro took over second guitar from Zuma onwards, and since Colorado in 2019 Nils Lofgren has filled that role, on albums such as Barn and World Record.
This collection brings together Neil Young & Crazy Horse on vinyl, LP and CD: studio albums, live and archive releases and reissues from across the partnership.
