Gorillaz is the debut album by the virtual band of the same name, created by Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, released in 2001. The music combines alternative rock, hip-hop, dub and pop, and was co-produced by Dan the Automator. Its biggest hit was 'Clint Eastwood', featuring Del the Funky Homosapien, followed by singles such as '19-2000' and 'Tomorrow Comes Today'. With its animated band members, the project introduced a new kind of virtual pop act.
