Flicker was Niall Horan's first solo album after One Direction, and it leans far more on acoustic guitars than the group did: folk-pop, understated ballads and, on "Slow Hands", a funky groove. The album was originally released in 2017 on Capitol Records and entered the US Billboard 200 at number 1. The sparse ballad "This Town" was the first single, followed by "Slow Hands", "Too Much to Ask", "On the Loose" and "Seeing Blind", a duet with country singer Maren Morris.
