Lucky Town originally came out in 1992, on the same day as Human Touch, and sounds looser than its twin: Springsteen wrote and played most of it himself in a matter of weeks. The lyrics deal with fatherhood, good fortune and starting over after a difficult period, in songs such as "Better Days", "If I Should Fall Behind" and "Living Proof", which he wrote after the birth of his son. The album closes with the restrained ballad "My Beautiful Reward".
