Morrison Hotel was released in 1970 as The Doors' fifth studio album and marked a return to raw blues and rock after the more experimental The Soft Parade. The opener Roadhouse Blues featured Lonnie Mack on bass and John Sebastian on harmonica. The album's two sides were named Hard Rock Cafe and Morrison Hotel, after real locations in Los Angeles. It also included songs such as Peace Frog, Waiting for the Sun, and Queen of the Highway. The cover photo, taken by Henry Diltz, was shot at the actual Morrison Hotel in Los Angeles.
