On the Border is the album where the Eagles changed producers halfway through. The sessions started in London with Glyn Johns, but the band wanted a harder sound and finished the work in Los Angeles with Bill Szymczyk. Don Felder arrived during that same stretch, first as a guest playing slide guitar on Already Gone and Good Day in Hell, then as a full member. Best of My Love, written by Frey and Henley with J.D. Souther, gave the band its first American number one in early 1975. Ol' 55 is a Tom Waits cover. The album originally appeared in 1974. This edition is a 180 gram LP.
