Switch, Golden Earring's tenth studio album, originally dates from March 1975. It is the album on which the band strayed furthest from the straight-ahead rock of Moontan: there are funk grooves and longer, proggy passages, with Intro Plus Minus Absurdio as the opener and Kill Me (Ce Soir) as the best-known song and single. Love Is a Rodeo, Tons of Time and the title track The Switch also come from here. The line-up was Barry Hay, George Kooymans, Rinus Gerritsen and Cesar Zuiderwijk. This remastered and expanded release is a 2-LP on white vinyl, with a second disc full of alternate versions.
