After the polished Blah-Blah-Blah, Iggy Pop went for heavy, straight-ahead rock guitar on Instinct. Steve Jones, once the guitarist in the Sex Pistols, played every guitar part and co-wrote four songs; Bill Laswell produced. "Cold Metal", "High on You" and "Squarehead" lean on riffs and volume rather than on the electronics of the preceding years. The album was originally released in 1988 on A&M Records. This edition is an LP.
