A Kind Of Magic originally dates from 1986 and is largely built around the songs Queen wrote for the film Highlander. Several tracks — the title song, One Vision, Who Wants To Live Forever, Princes Of The Universe and Gimme The Prize — also appeared in adapted form in the film. Who Wants To Live Forever, written by Brian May, was recorded with an orchestra conducted by film composer Michael Kamen. In the United Kingdom the album went straight to number one and sold 100,000 copies there in its first week.
