A Night at the Opera was originally released in 1975 as Queen's fourth studio album, again produced by Roy Thomas Baker together with the band. Its recording was among the most expensive and elaborate of its era, with extensive overdubbing of guitars and voices. The album ranges from music hall and ballads to heavy rock, with John Deacon's 'You're My Best Friend', Brian May's acoustic '39 and Freddie Mercury's 'Love of My Life'. It closes with 'Bohemian Rhapsody', which spent nine weeks at number one in the United Kingdom and became one of the band's best-known songs.
