For Number 5 the Steve Miller Band went to Nashville in 1970, where session players including harmonica man Charlie McCoy, fiddler Buddy Spicher, and banjo player Bobby Thompson joined them. That shows in the country and blues shadings of songs like Going To The Country and Hot Chili. Set against those is Jackson-Kent Blues, written in response to the fatal campus shootings at Kent State and Jackson State earlier that year. The band's fifth album came out at the time on Capitol Records. This edition is an LP.
