The Mushroom Tapes collects the demos The Flaming Lips recorded for In a Priest Driven Ambulance, the 1990 album that brought producer Dave Fridmann into the fold. It holds rougher takes of Take Meta Mars, Five Stop Mother Superior Rain and Unconsciously Screaming, along with sketches that never made the album. Fridmann and the band remastered the tapes, which reached vinyl for the first time in 2018. This edition is an LP on green vinyl, a limited Record Store Day pressing.
