Kinkdom originally appeared in November 1965 and was the last album Reprise assembled for the American and Canadian market alone. It gathers songs from the British EP Kwyet Kinks, both sides of the See My Friends single and a run of B-sides from 1964 and 1965, with A Well Respected Man as its best known title, Ray Davies' mocking sketch of a proper suburban gentleman. Around those sit the rougher R&B numbers from the band's early days, such as Louie Louie and Naggin' Woman. The album reached number 47 on the Billboard album chart; from The Kink Kontroversy onwards Reprise issued the same records as Britain did. This edition is an LP.
