Sacco e Vanzetti is the soundtrack that Italian composer Ennio Morricone wrote for director Giuliano Montaldo's film of the same name from 1971. The film deals with the notorious trial of the Italian-American anarchists Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, who were executed in 1927. For the soundtrack, Morricone collaborated with American folk singer Joan Baez, who wrote the lyrics for and sang 'Here's to You' and 'The Ballad of Sacco and Vanzetti', among others. 'Here's to You' became an international hit and a widely used protest song. The music combines Morricone's orchestral film scoring with folk influences.
