The Beach Boys

The Beach Boys started out in 1961 in Hawthorne, California, around the brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love and schoolfriend Al Jardine; Bruce Johnston joined in 1965. Early hits such as Surfin' U.S.A., I Get Around and Fun, Fun, Fun were built around surfing, cars and the Californian summer. Brian Wilson then shifted the focus to the studio: Pet Sounds (1966) and the single Good Vibrations were assembled from layered harmonies, unusual instruments and months of editing. The seventies brought Sunflower, Surf's Up and Holland, 1988 brought the American number 1 hit Kokomo and 2012 the reunion album That's Why God Made the Radio. Dennis Wilson died in 1983, Carl Wilson in 1998 and Brian Wilson in June 2025.

This collection brings together The Beach Boys on vinyl, LP and CD: Pet Sounds, compilations such as Sounds of Summer and expanded archive boxes like Feel Flows and Sail On Sailor 1972.
