Since forming in London in 1962, the Rolling Stones have been one of the most influential rock bands in the world. Built on American blues and R&B, with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards as its songwriting core, the band became the raw, rebellious counterweight of the 1960s. From classics like 'Satisfaction' and 'Paint It Black' to the run of albums often regarded as their finest, Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St., they have stayed active across six decades.
