The Black Parade is the third studio album by My Chemical Romance, originally released in 2006 on Reprise Records. It is a concept album about a dying character known only as The Patient, performed by the band in the guise of a fictional group. With producer Rob Cavallo the sound moved towards theatrical rock opera, with marching rhythms, choral vocals and the piano motif that opens Welcome to the Black Parade. That song became the band's first UK number 1 single in October 2006, and the album entered at number 2 in both the US and the UK. Rolling Stone placed The Black Parade at number 361 on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
This edition is a CD, the 20th anniversary edition.
