"Atomic City" was released in 2023 as a stand-alone single, around the start of U2's residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. It followed Songs of Surrender, the project on which the band re-recorded earlier material. The single appeared on one-sided, glow-in-the-dark vinyl.
