The Joshua Tree became U2's most successful album. It was originally released in 1987 and produced by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois. The band drew inspiration from American landscapes and music, from desert imagery to gospel and blues. Where the Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and With or Without You opened the album and all three became classics. The Joshua Tree appears on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
