Aerosmith's Greatest Hits gathers ten songs from the Columbia years between 1973 and 1979, from Dream On and Sweet Emotion to Draw the Line and Kings and Queens. The compilation originally came out in 1980, at the point where the band was falling apart: Joe Perry had left, and Brad Whitford followed soon after. Alongside their own singles it holds two covers, The Beatles' Come Together from the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band film and The Shangri-Las' Remember (Walking in the Sand). It went more than ten times platinum in the United States.
